Dylan Russell is a partner at Sorrels Law Firm. He has been Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2017 and was recertified in 2022. Only about 400 of Texas’s over 100,000 licensed attorneys have that board certification. Mr. Russell’s focus is on complex appeals and trial litigation. In his appellate practice, he has presented almost 30 oral arguments in state and federal appellate courts. He has argued 5 times to the Supreme Court of Texas, 5 times to the Fifth Circuit, once to the Second Circuit in New York, and numerous times to various Texas courts of appeals across the State. Since 2015, Mr. Russell has had 10 petitions for review and 2 petitions for writ of mandamus granted by the Supreme Court of Texas. In his trial practice, Mr. Russell has tried numerous cases as first chair in Harris, Montgomery, and Fort Bend Counties. He has also appeared in numerous courts in counties throughout Texas, from El Paso to Hardin and many in between.
